School Band
The band comprising of pupils from Fifth and Sixth Classes visits the local hospital and lays for the patients at Christmas. They also play at the Carol Festival.

After School Music Classes

On Thursday evening after school pupils from Fifth and Sixth classes get more tuition in playing  tenors and trebles with Ms Buckley.

School Choir

Pupils from Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Classes take part in the School choir. They sing at the Mercy day Mass, Carol recital, St. Parick’s Day Irish Mass, Confirmation and First Holy Communion Masses.

Pupils from Fouth and Fifth Class are taking part in a Children's Choir in association with the West Cork Teacher's Centre.


Drama classes were a particular highlight and we had wonderful performances at Christmas and at Easter from all the classes. Every child had the opportunity to perform on stage in front of a packed hall. We look forward to more next year!!

Folk Dances

The children have learned a lot of folk dances such as, Drop of water from Holland, Karzula from Poland, Pupu Hinu Hinu from Hawaii and Seven jumps from Denmark.
One of the dances was the Pu Pu Hinu Hinu. They used shells to dance to this Hawaiian lullaby.

Visiting Shows
Lungi the Puppeteer visited with tales from India. Higgledy Piggledy was a fun packed show whic everyone enjoyed.

Musical Treats.
The Callino Quartet 
workshop visited in 2009 and the Carducci Quartet in November 2010.  Bangers and Crash in 2014- a percussion workshop, Vox Merus in 2012- a percussion workshop.
