Our 5th Class girls have been learning chess since mid-term. They have really enjoyed learning how to play each piece and competing with one another while practicing using social skills such as respect, decision making and forward thinking. They all took part in a tournament in school before Christmas and the top 4 players won a prize. We are currently busy practicing our skills in preparation for a chess tournament in the next few weeks. Stay tuned to see how the girls get on. We also wish to express our appreciation to everyone who supports our school fundraisers which allowed us to purchase the chess boards.
