We recently celebrated Maths in St.Joseph’s. The boys and girls had great fun engaging with lots of Mathematical activities such as maths stations in the halls, making mazes, going on maths trails, building leaning towers, designing rooms on a budget and lots more. The children also enjoyed using their estimation skills to guess the number of sweets in our jars. Well done to Fiadh, Dachi and Amiee who were the winners! π¬
A huge well done to our girls from 5th & 6th Class who took part in the Lifetime Lab Primary Science Quiz. They really enjoyed the event and received medals for their efforts.
We had a great Thursday exploring scratch and problem solving skills.
2nd class did 3 experiments for Science Week. We tested raisins in still and sparkling water and realised that the carbon dioxide in sparkling water made them 'dance'. The other two involved checking does water travel. We used food colouring in water and paper towels...
